ABOUT THE AUTHOR

 

Peter Wraight is a retired officer, having served in the British Army and Royal Air Force where he learned to fly. He holds UK and US Pilot’s Licences with Commercial, Instrument and Multi-Engined ratings. He speaks a little German, though rusty now.

After seven years of military service, Peter wrote on-air promotional pieces for HTV, Tyne Tees and Thames Television in the UK before moving to New York where he continued writing and producing featurettes and documentaries for Showtime and The Movie Channel TV.

​

He has published articles in Flying, Sport Pilot and Pilot magazines and short fiction in college journals.

His passion for writing focusses on the popular creative mix of historical accuracy and human emotion. The Nightfighters is at finished draft stage and available for review. It is one of Peter’s three very different novels.

​

He now lives in Deal, Kent with his American wife, Linda, who is a translator of fiction from Italian to English.
